This lovely hill is 1,923 meters high and sits in the quiet village of Sembalun Lawang, East Lombok. It is the perfect place for beginners and people who love nature.
At the top of Anak Dara Hill, you can see two amazing views. In the afternoon, you can watch a beautiful golden sunset behind Mount Rinjani. The next morning, you can wake up to a sweet sunrise over the blue ocean. When you look down, you will see the pretty colorful rice fields of Sembalun Village that look like a giant painting.
There are two walking paths to the top: the North path and the South path. Both paths are very close to each other. The South path is the most popular choice because it is very nice and takes about 3 to 4 hours of normal walking to reach the top.
Easy Itinerary Anak Dara Hill 2 Days
Day 01: Moving from Senaru ➔ Beautiful Walk to the Camp ➔ Sunset View (Dinner Included)
- 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM | Hotel Pick-up: Our friendly driver from Rinjani Ascent will meet you at your hotel in Senaru.
- 11:00 AM – 12:15 PM | Nice Drive to Sembalun: Relax on a lovely 1-hour and 15-minute drive. You will see green valleys and feel the cool, fresh mountain air.
- 12:15 PM – 12:30 PM | Short Stop: We arrive at the Sembalun entrance. Your guide will quickly check your tickets and help you prepare your bags.
- 12:30 PM – 04:30 PM | The Walking Journey (3-4 Hours): Start your walk! First, you will walk through beautiful green grass fields. Then, you will walk under the nice shade of trees. The path goes up slowly, and you can see beautiful green hills all around you. We will take short breaks to drink water and eat small snacks.
- 04:30 PM – 05:30 PM | Welcome to the Camp: You arrive at the camping area. While you sit down, rest your legs, and enjoy a warm cup of tea or coffee, our kind team will build your comfortable tents.
- 05:30 PM – 06:30 PM | Magical Golden Sunset: Walk to the highest point to watch the beautiful golden sunset. The sky will change into lovely warm colors.
- 07:00 PM onwards | Warm Dinner & Stargazing: Enjoy a delicious dinner cooked fresh by our team under the bright stars. You can chat with friends before sleeping in your warm sleeping bag.
Day 02: Breathtaking Sunrise ➔ Walking Down ➔ Back to Your Hotel (Breakfast Included)
- 05:30 AM – 06:15 AM | Beautiful Morning Sunrise: Wake up early to see a wonderful sunrise over the ocean. Watch the morning sun slowly shine on the valley and the big peaks of Mount Rinjani.
- 06:30 AM – 07:30 AM | Breakfast with a View: Eat a hot, delicious breakfast with fresh fruits and warm drinks. You can look down at the beautiful colorful valley below.
- 08:00 AM – 11:00 AM | Walking Down: Pack your things and walk back down to the Sembalun village. The walk down is easy and takes about 3 hours.
- 11:00 AM – 11:30 AM | Rest Break: Arrive back at the village. Take a short rest and say goodbye to our nice porter team.
- 11:30 AM – 12:45 PM | Going Home: Step inside our comfortable private car. We will drive you safely back to your hotel in Senaru. Thank you for traveling with Rinjani Ascent!
